STABBING INVESTIGATION; SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

UPDATE: The suspect remanded to the Anchorage Correctional Complex is 21-year old David Ralph Panik.

ORIGINAL: At 6:58 AM on August 2, 2024, APD officers were dispatched to 801 E Tudor Road for reports of a physical disturbance involving two male adults at the Circle K parking lot. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim lying in the parking lot with a stab wound to his upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where the extent of his injuries is currently unknown.

The suspect, David Panik, initially fled the scene but later returned and identified himself to officers as the person responsible for the stabbing. Panik was remanded at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on the charge of Assault 1.
