We will accept payment of your traffic citation if:

  • it was issued less than 45 days ago

  • the plea is "no contest"

  • It is for a Municipal offense ticket

  • it is not a PARKING ticket

  • It is not a STATE offense ticket

Payment Options:

  1. Pay Online. Use the "Pay Traffic Citation" button to the left.

  2. Pay by Phone. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, call: 907-786-2429

  3. Pay by Check. Mail a check with the citation number in the memo field to: 716 W. 4th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501

  4. Pay in Person. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm at APD Headquarters: 716 W. 4th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501

​Please note: The Anchorage Police Department accepts full payments only. Be prepared to pay the full amount including the surcharge. ​

Sent to court

If you’ve submitted your citation with a plea other than “No Contest” search CourtView online for citation status. No payments will be accepted after 45 days.

Trouble Paying? Payment plans or extensions can be requested through the Court.  Before your trial date, you can enter a “No Contest" plea and file a request to extend the fine due date to pay the ticket by filing a Request to Extend Fine Due Date, TR-218.  For additional information, call the Court Accounting Office at (907) 264-0555​.

phase 3
Non-Payment

If you don’t pay your ticket it will be sent to the Municipal Treasury Division of Delinquent Criminal/Civil Fines and Fees (DCF) and possibly sent to a 3rd party collection agency.

  2. Pay by Check. Mail a check payable to State of Alaska to:

  3. Pay in Person at any court location.
