Antonius Meyers Indicted on Murder in the Second Degree

From the Attorney General’s Office:

June 21, 2024 (Anchorage, AK) – Earlier this week an Anchorage grand jury indicted 24-year-old Antonius Meyers for two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Manslaughter and multiple counts of Assault for the death of a minor child. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 3, 2024.

Meyers is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is being held on a $25,000 cash performance bond. If convicted at trial, Meyers faces a sentence of up to 99 years imprisonment.

These charges are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
