Taci Gee arrested on multiple charges by K9 Jack

On April 18, 2023, at 1:01 am, Officers with Mid shift patrol along with K9 officers responded to the 200-block of W. Potter Drive for a theft in progress. An employee of a business called APD dispatch after seeing a suspicious white truck hooking up to an enclosed box trailer that belonged to the company. Officers arrived in the area and saw a white Chevrolet truck pulling the stolen trailer leaving the business's parking lot. Officers on the scene recognized the white Chevrolet truck as one that was reported stolen the day before.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and used vehicle tactics to block the truck in. The driver of the truck, later identified as 38-year-old Taci Gee, attempted to drive her way out of the vehicle block numerous times but was unsuccessful. Gee then exited the truck and began to run away from officers. Officers gave Gee a K9 warning which she ignored and continued to flee on foot. K9 Jack was released and apprehended Gee by biting her arm and escorted her to the ground. Once on the ground, Gee complied and was taken into police custody without further incident. Gee was transported by medics to a local hospital and was treated for injuries from the K9 bite.

Taci Gee was remanded to Hiland Mountain Correctional Facility on charges of Vehicle Theft 1, Theft 2, Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.

None of the officers involved nor K9 Jack were injured during the incident.
