Serious Injury Collision Investigation at Debarr Rd/Patterson St

At 3:03 AM on July 24, 2024, Anchorage police mid-shift patrol officers responded to Debarr Road and Patterson Street regarding a serious injury collision.  Initial indications are that motorcyclist #1 was travelling eastbound when he was struck from behind by motorcyclist #2 travelling in the same direction.  Both adult male motorcyclists went down; both have been transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  Speed is believed to be a factor.

The Major Collision Investigations Unit (MCIU) has responded to process the site.  All lanes of Debarr Road between Marten Street and Creekside Drive (the area near Walmart) are closed and all of Patterson Street is shut down where it intersects with Debarr Road.
