Louis Anqui Indicted on Sexual Assault and Sexual Abuse of a Minor

From the Attorney General’s Office:

An Anchorage Grand Jury indicted Louis Andrew Gabriel Anqui Wednesday for alleged crimes against multiple juveniles, including sexual assault and sexual abuse of a minor.

Anqui was arraigned today in Superior Court on one count of sexual assault in the first degree, one count of sexual assault in the second degree, two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree.

Anqui was arrested on Jan. 21, 2023, and is being held on a $7,500 cash only performance bond, with PED electronic monitoring required. If convicted at trial, Anqui faces a sentence of up to 99 years imprisonment on the lead count.

The charges in the indictment are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. Anqui is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Anchorage Police Department Detectives believe Anqui may have been using social media to communicate with minors. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Vrablik at George.Vrablik@anchorageak.gov.
