Jeremy Ellis Arrested by K9 Midas for Outstanding Warrants

On March 02, 2023 at 05:51PM members of the Anchorage Police Department Investigative Support Unit (ISU) were in the area of the 2600-block of E. Tudor Rd. attempting to contact 29-year-old Jeremy Ellis, who had two outstanding arrest warrants. The warrants were for a felony parole violation with original charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance II, misconduct involving a weapon III, and a misdemeanor warrant for eluding. Officers located Ellis and observed him run away from a stolen vehicle that he had been a passenger in. Officers gave Ellis commands to stop, which he ignored. K9 Midas was released and subsequently apprehended him. The officers were able to take Ellis into custody without further incident. Ellis was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for the dog bite before being transported to Anchorage Police Department Headquarters where he was interviewed by Detectives.  Once the Detectives completed their interview, Ellis was remanded to the Anchorage Jail for his warrants and resisting arrest.

 None of the officers involved nor K9 Midas were injured during the incident
