Death Investigation at E 40th Avenue and Dale Street

The preliminary investigation indicates this death is not criminal in nature.

Original on 5/1/24:

At 7:11 PM on April 30, 2024, Anchorage Police responded to E 40th Avenue and Dale Street regarding a deceased person called in by passersby.  The victim was located just off a bike trail to the north of the intersection.  Observations made at the scene prompted the Crime Scene Team to respond and process the area.  They finished near midnight.

The body was collected by the Medical Examiner who will determine the victim’s identity and cause of death.
