HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION: THOMPSON AVENUE AND PRICE STREET
UPDATE: 12:48 PM, 10/16/24:
At 8:37PM on Oct. 15, 2024, Anchorage Police responded to the 400-block of Price Street in reference to multiple gunshots being fired. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old juvenile male with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he was declared deceased. The deceased juvenile male has been identified and next-of-kin procedures are complete. APD does not release the names of juvenile victims.
The APD Crime Scene Team responded to process the scene and closed Thompson Avenue at Price Street.

At 8:37 PM on October 15, 2024, APD Swing Shift officers responded to the 400-block of Price Street in reference to multiple gunshots being fired. Thompson Avenue at Price Street will be closed while the investigation continues. Please avoid the area and follow the officers’ instructions if you need to be in the vicinity.
